How do I reset my password?
Use the "Forgot Password" link on the sign-in screen. You'll receive an email with instructions to reset your password.
Can I use WeeknightChef without creating an account?
Yes! WeeknightChef offers a guest mode where you can use most features. Your data will be stored locally on your device. If you later create an account, your guest data will be automatically migrated.
How accurate are the AI-generated recipes?
Our AI recipes are generated using OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini and are designed to be accurate and delicious. However, nutritional information is estimated and should be verified for dietary or medical purposes. Always check ingredients for allergies and use your judgment when cooking.
Can I export my recipes and meal plans?
Recipe export functionality is coming soon! For now, you can view and share recipes within the app. Your data belongs to you and can be accessed through your account.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile → Account Security → Delete Account. This will immediately delete all your data including recipes, meal plans, and preferences. This action cannot be undone.
Is WeeknightChef free to use?
Yes! WeeknightChef offers a free tier with access to 375 system recipes, unlimited meal planning, and grocery list management. Premium features with AI recipe generation and modifications may be available in the future.
What devices are supported?
WeeknightChef is currently available for iOS devices (iPhone and iPad) running iOS 16.0 or later. Android support may be available in the future.
How do I report a bug?
You can report bugs through the in-app feedback feature (Settings → Help & FAQ) or email us at support@weeknightchef.app. Please include your device type, iOS version, and a detailed description of the issue.
Can I request a feature?
Absolutely! We love hearing from our users. Send feature requests to support@weeknightchef.app or use the in-app feedback feature. While we can't implement every suggestion, we review all feedback and prioritize based on user needs.
How is my data protected?
We take data security seriously. All data is transmitted via encrypted HTTPS connections, passwords are hashed using bcrypt, and our database uses row-level security policies. API keys are stored securely server-side, never in the app binary. See our Privacy Policy for more details.
